India-Pakistan rivalry returns! Asia Cup 2025 match expected in UAE!

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is poised to officially host the Asia Cup 2025 in the United Arab Emirates, with a formal announcement expected imminently. Sources from the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) revealed the tournament is scheduled for September, using Dubai and Abu Dhabi as venues. Crucially, blockbuster matchups are on the cards: India vs Pakistan is highly likely, with at least one group-stage clash anticipated on September 7, and possibly a rematch during the Super Fours .

The ACC’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Dhaka, attended virtually by BCCI, resolved logistical hurdles, granting India the hosting rights while maintaining political neutrality through a UAE venue . Though bilateral ties remain frozen, the neutral setup ensures both franchises will compete. This release paves the way for early commercial planning and hype-building ahead of India’s home series versus the West Indies.

Fans should expect the official fixture list in a few days - September’s matchups could once again revive one of cricket's most electrifying rivalries.
