Government vows steady aid as Yamuna levels fall!

With the Yamuna’s water levels officially receding in Delhi - from a high of 207.48 m to 207.33 m at 7 AM Friday—the government is vowing steadfast and seamless relief efforts for flood-hit communities . Despite the gradual drop, conditions remain precarious, and authorities are maintaining vigilance across submerged and vulnerable regions.

In neighboring Sirsa, affected families have begun receiving prepared meals as part of on-ground relief, providing immediate sustenance in shelters and temporary camps . The gesture underscores operational strides even as the crisis abates.

Yet, political parties remain critical. The Aam Aadmi Party has raised alarms over what it deems insufficient and lackluster relief measures, demanding greater transparency and urgency in operations. Congress leaders echo the sentiment, calling for tangible action beyond official assurances—pointing to gaps in actual delivery despite repeated government promises.

As flood waters ebb, authorities emphasize that monitoring, evacuation, and aid distribution - covering essential supplies, medical access, and temporary shelter - are ongoing. However, the persistent political scrutiny highlights that effective execution remains under the spotlight.
