Andhra Pradesh is all set to lead India’s AI revolution! The state government has announced plans to establish the country’s first Artificial Intelligence university, aiming to make future generations AI-ready. Education Minister Nara Lokesh, during his visit to Australia, revealed that AI and Robotics Labs will soon be introduced in government schools, starting from the high school level.
The initiative is part of Andhra Pradesh’s larger vision to integrate AI in education, governance, and skill development. Lokesh held key meetings with universities in Melbourne and Brisbane to explore global collaborations in AI, cybersecurity, IoT, and quantum research.
He also discussed setting up a Griffith University India Centre in Andhra Pradesh for student exchanges and joint research. The move is expected to attract foreign investments and strengthen India–Australia educational ties.
From Google to ArcelorMittal, major global players are already investing in the state. With this AI university, Andhra Pradesh is gearing up to become India’s new innovation hub!
