The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced that the 21st edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will be held on Sunday, 8 February 2026.  The exam will be conducted in 132 cities across India and offered in 20 languages, making access more inclusive for candidates from diverse linguistic backgrounds.

The notice further states that the detailed Information Bulletin - covering eligibility criteria, syllabus, application procedures, exam fee, and centres — will be released shortly on the official website (ctet.nic.in).  CTET is a national-level qualifying examination for candidates aiming to teach classes I to VIII in central government and affiliated schools. This upcoming session gives thousands of aspirants the opportunity to secure eligibility for teaching posts, with either Paper I (for classes I–V) or Paper II (for classes VI–VIII).

Candidates are advised to monitor the official portal for updates and prepare accordingly - this exam is a key stepping stone toward a stable teaching career in India.
