Two-month government internship - apply now to work on real policy projects!

The Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD) has launched a structured Internship Programme to engage women students, scholars, teachers, and social activists in nation-building.

  • Objective: Empower women from non-Tier-I cities through real policy exposure, echoing the vision “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikaas, Sabka Vishwaas, Sabka Prayaas.”

  • Duration & Terms: Four cycles every year (May–June, Aug–Sept, Nov–Dec, Feb–Mar), each lasting two months.

  • Eligibility: Women aged 21–40, linked to any academic/non-academic institution, excluding Tier-I metros.

  • Selection: Up to 20 interns per batch, chosen by an expert committee.

  • Activities: Pilot projects, micro-studies, policy analysis, drafting reports, interaction with ministries & field stakeholders.

  • Incentives: ₹20,000 stipend, travel reimbursement, hostel stay in Delhi, logistical support, and a certificate on project completion.

  • Application: Opens two months before each term; submissions accepted from 1st–10th of that month.

This internship combines hands-on governance, research opportunities, and direct policy impact, making it a stepping-stone for women aspiring to influence public welfare.
