Pakistan's Shehbaz Sharif to hold key meeting with President Trump!

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to travel from New York to Washington on September 25 for a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump, The Express Tribune reported.

The meeting is expected to take place on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. Shehbaz is to be accompanied by Pakistan’s Foreign Minister and other top officials, and possibly Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir.

Diplomatic sources suggest the agenda may include discussions on the devastating floods affecting Pakistan, tensions with India, and the regional fallout of the Israel-Qatar conflict. Islamabad and Washington are reportedly finalizing the schedule, though Pakistan’s embassy in Washington has remained silent so far.

If the meeting takes place, it would mark a rare direct high-level engagement between Pakistan’s prime minister and the U.S. president in recent years, reflecting warmer ties amid growing U.S. interest in Pakistan’s trade, flood recovery and strategic role.
