PM Modi breaks down: Meets Vijay Rupani's grieving family after Ahmedabad plane crash!

In a deeply emotional moment on June 13, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with the grieving family of former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani in Ahmedabad. Rupani, one of the 241 victims on board the ill-fated Air India Boeing 787‑8 Dreamliner, was travelling to London when the aircraft crashed shortly after takeoff . Modi embraced Rupani’s kin at Ahmedabad Civil Hospital, reportedly consoling them while visibly moved by their loss .

Modi also visited the crash site at BJ Medical College hostel and the lone survivor in hospital. He described the tragedy as "heartbreaking beyond words," pledging full government support to affected families. This visit follows the unprecedented loss: 241 lives lost on board and at least 28 casualties on the ground, marking India's deadliest aviation disaster in decades.

As authorities continue identifying victims via DNA testing and probe the cause, Modi's compassionate outreach underscores the national grief and firm promise: "No family will be left unsupported in this time of unbearable pain."
