During the Operation Sindoor, Pakistan claimed it had successfully shot down several Indian fighter jets, including Rafales, MiG-29s, and Su-30s. However, India’s Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Anil Chauhan, denied these assertions, calling Pakistan’s claims "absolutely incorrect."
General Chauhan acknowledged that India did suffer some initial losses but emphasized that these setbacks provided valuable lessons. India quickly adapted its tactics and was able to resume effective airstrikes within 48 hours, hitting critical targets. He also pointed out that the operation was conducted with great caution to avoid crossing Pakistan’s nuclear thresholds, highlighting India’s strategic restraint and precision.
