This 5‑minute Mug Dhokla will change your breakfast game forever!

Looking for a quick, tasty, and healthy snack? The Mug Dhokla is your perfect savior! Inspired by the traditional Gujarati dhokla, this instant version is made in a coffee mug using a microwave-ready in just 5 minutes.

Made with simple ingredients like gram flour, curd, turmeric, salt, ginger-chilli paste, and Eno, the batter fluffs up beautifully when microwaved. This recipe requires no fermentation or fancy equipment, making it ideal for students, working professionals, or anyone short on time.

To prepare, mix the batter ingredients in a microwave-safe mug. Stir well to make a smooth mix, add Eno just before microwaving, and heat on high for 2.5–3.5 minutes. Once done, check with a toothpick.

For tempering, heat oil in a small pan, add mustard seeds, curry leaves, chopped chillies, sugar, lemon juice, and water. Boil briefly and pour it over the mug dhokla.

The result? A fluffy, tangy, and comforting snack that satisfies your cravings without the mess of traditional cooking.

Perfect for unexpected guests or late-evening munchies, Mug Dhokla proves that delicious food can be fast, simple, and fun!
