Aakash Sends Another Legal Notice to EY Over Allen Partnership Dispute!

Aakash Educational Services Ltd (AESL), backed by Byju’s, has sent a second legal notice to consulting firm EY, intensifying the ongoing dispute over EY’s alleged advisory role in a potential partnership with Allen Career Institute. AESL claims that EY, previously engaged by them for strategic advisory services, violated confidentiality clauses and acted in conflict of interest by simultaneously working with rival Allen.

The latest notice highlights AESL’s concern that sensitive business information could have been compromised, given EY's former access to its internal data. EY has denied any wrongdoing, asserting that their dealings with Allen followed all compliance protocols and legal boundaries.

This legal escalation comes at a time when the test-prep industry in India is undergoing significant consolidation, with leading players like Allen, Aakash, and PhysicsWallah attracting investor interest and exploring growth alliances. AESL’s action signals rising tension and competitiveness in this high-stakes educational segment.
