AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi was notably absent from a high profile all party delegation meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 10, 2025, at Lok Kalyan Marg, sparking curiosity. Owaisi, part of the Operation Sindoor global outreach to advocate India’s anti-terrorism stance, clarified he rushed to Dubai due to a medical emergency involving a close relative and childhood friend. He informed his delegation leader, BJP MP Baijayant Panda, of his sudden departure, as reported by ANI. The meeting saw MPs across parties, including Shashi Tharoor and Supriya Sule, brief Modi on their international efforts to highlight India’s commitment to global peace.
Modi praised the delegations, which included former ministers Ghulam Nabi Azad and Salman Khurshid, for presenting a united front against terrorism post the Pahalgam attack. The seven delegations visited 33 countries, reinforcing India’s resolve to combat Pakistan-sponsored terrorism. Owaisi’s absence underscored personal priorities amid national duty.
