In the age of soft launches and story replies as love languages, relationships have found a new label: situationships. They're everything a relationship is - the calls, the comfort, the chemistry - minus the dreaded "What are we?" conversation. It’s love in limbo, dressed in aesthetics and vague captions.
For many, situationships feel easier. There's no pressure, no labels, no obligation. But beneath the surface lies emotional confusion, mismatched expectations, and a fear of vulnerability masquerading as chill vibes. It's a PR-managed connection - curated for appearances, but often messy in reality.
Why define it when you can vibe it, right? Except when someone catches feelings, the lack of clarity turns from fun to frustrating. Because let’s be honest - if you need to overthink every text, it's not that chill.
Maybe it’s time we stopped glamorising the undefined and started valuing emotional honesty over curated ambiguity.
