Ayush Mhatre leads again! India's U-19 squad revealed.

The BCCI has announced the India U19 squad for the upcoming bilateral tour of Australia, scheduled between September 21 and early October 2025. Captaining the side again is Ayush Mhatre, who led a successful campaign in England earlier this year. Also retained in the lineup is 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the youngest player in the squad, following his record-breaking debut tour performances.

The tour includes three one-day internationals and two multi-day matches, providing a platform for young talent to hone skills in challenging overseas conditions. Mhatre's continued leadership highlights the BCCI's growing confidence in his captaincy and match temperament. Meanwhile, Suryavanshi's inclusion reaffirms his rising status as a major prospect for Indian cricket.

This tour is expected to build on the momentum from the recent England tour, where the team displayed depth in batting, variety in bowling, and adaptability to foreign conditions. The squad also includes a balanced mix of all-rounders, spinners, and pacers suited for Australian pitches. The selection underscores India's focus on grooming future senior team players via exposure in diverse environments.
