Rithuparna KS, a 20-year-old engineering student from a rural village in Karnataka, defied expectations by bagging a lucrative engineering role at Rolls‑Royce’s Jet Engine Manufacturing Division in the U.S. Despite missing out on admission through NEET for medicine, she pivoted to engineering at Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management in Mangaluru. Over three years, she honed her skills in robotics and automation, participating in projects like a pesticide-dispensing robot that received international recognition.

After an internship with Rolls‑Royce, Rithuparna impressed the team enough that her initial offer jumped from ₹39.6 lakh to ₹72.2 lakh annually.
