Following the Indian government's ban on 25 OTT platforms, including ALTT, for streaming explicit content, producer Ektaa Kapoor issued a public clarification. She stated that neither she nor her mother, Shobha Kapoor, have been associated with ALTT since June 2021. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, after consultations with various departments and experts, decided to block access to these platforms under the Information Technology Act of 2000 and the IT Rules of 2021. The move aims to regulate content and protect viewers from inappropriate material.
