In a significant move against organized crime, a key operative of the Bishnoi gang has been arrested in Punjab by a team led by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The arrest is part of an ongoing probe into terror-gangster networks operating across India, particularly in the northern states.

The individual, identified as a crucial handler involved in financing and logistics, is allegedly connected to multiple gangland activities, including extortion, arms smuggling, and targeted killings. The arrest follows a series of coordinated raids conducted at multiple locations in Punjab and Haryana in recent months.

Officials believe that the Bishnoi gang, with ties to Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar, has been collaborating with terror elements, raising serious national security concerns. The gang’s involvement in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case had already triggered a nationwide alert and investigation.

The NIA stated that this arrest marks another step toward dismantling the nexus between criminal syndicates and terrorist groups, which has become increasingly sophisticated with the use of encrypted communication and foreign funding channels.

The accused is currently being interrogated for details on the gang’s network and potential international links.
