Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Tuesday that Israel has accepted the U.S.-brokered ceasefire with Iran, declaring that the country has "achieved all its war objectives." The ceasefire comes after 12 days of intense hostilities that saw missile strikes, cyberattacks, and widespread military activity across the region.

In a televised address, Netanyahu stated that the Israeli military had "severely degraded Iran’s offensive capabilities" and targeted critical infrastructure used by Iranian proxy forces. His remarks followed U.S. President Donald Trump’s declaration that a phased ceasefire was "NOW IN EFFECT", beginning with Iran halting operations, followed by Israel 12 hours later.

Netanyahu’s statement aims to frame the ceasefire as a strategic victory, reinforcing his government’s stance that Israel acted defensively and decisively. While Iran has yet to formally echo similar sentiments of success, both sides have agreed to the halt in hostilities under international pressure.

Observers warn, however, that tensions remain high and the current truce may only offer a temporary pause unless deeper diplomatic efforts follow.
