The monsoon is more than chai and cozy weather - it’s the best season to grow herbs at home! Even with no garden, your balcony or window ledge can become a lush herb haven. The rainy season provides the perfect natural conditions: moist soil, gentle sun, and cool air.
Start with Tulsi, known for immunity and respiratory health, or Mint, perfect for digestion and refreshing teas. Coriander adds flavor and is quick to grow. For fragrance and health benefits, Lemongrass is ideal and even repels mosquitoes. Curry leaves (Kadi Patta) add authentic taste to Indian dishes and are easy to grow from saplings. Fenugreek (Methi) is a fast-grower and packed with nutrition.
All you need are pots with good drainage, quality soil, and a bit of care. Water moderately, give partial sunlight, and watch your herb garden thrive - no fancy tools needed!
Monsoon is nature’s invitation to grow something — so step out, get your hands dirty, and enjoy fresh herbs daily!
