In his recent Mann Ki Baat address, PM Narendra Modi encouraged citizens to practice yoga for 40 minutes daily, emphasizing its power to prevent and control major lifestyle diseases like diabetes, blood pressure, heart issues, and thyroid disorders.
He urged people to create yoga chains and reels to spread awareness, highlighting yoga not just as exercise but as a health tonic.
Schools and offices are adopting yoga actively - some startups even have fixed yoga hours.
Additionally, schools are installing "sugar boards" to promote healthy habits in children early.
PM Modi mentioned learning the "ABCD" of yoga for correct breathing techniques and posture awareness.
Swami Ramdev's 21-yogasana routine is recommended, though patients with heart, BP, cervical, or disc problems must avoid specific poses.
Complement yoga with a healthy lifestyle - hydration, stress reduction, and home remedies like turmeric milk or giloy juice. Modi's appeal aligns with building a healthier, fitter India.
