In a chilling incident in Delhi’s Majnu Ka Tila, a 23-year-old man, Nikhil Kumar, brutally murdered his former live-in partner Sonal Arya and her friend’s six-month-old daughter Yashika. The crime took place after Nikhil allegedly lured Sonal to his residence under the pretext of reconciliation and then attacked both victims with a surgical blade.

Sonal had reportedly left Nikhil in January due to constant harassment and abuse. After the breakup, she was living with her friend Rashmi Devi, the mother of the infant. Nikhil, allegedly unable to accept the separation and suspecting Sonal of aborting his child with the help of another man, decided to take revenge.

He fled to Haldwani, Uttarakhand after committing the crime but was arrested by Delhi Police within two days. The case has shocked the city, with authorities investigating the history of abuse and the disturbing level of planning involved in the murders.
