Cricketer Sarfaraz Khan drops 17 kg in 2 months, this is what he did!

Indian cricketer Sarfaraz Khan, aged 27, has stunned fans and selectors alike by shedding 17 kg in just two months, driven by a determined bid to strengthen his fitness and stake a claim for national team inclusion.

A disciplined overhaul of his diet lay at the heart of this transformation. His father and coach, Naushad Khan, revealed that the duo eliminated staples like roti, rice, sugar, maida, and bakery items from their meals. Instead, their meals consist of green salads, broccoli, carrots, grilled fish or chicken, boiled eggs, sprouts, avocados, and regular intake of green tea and green coffee. By mid-June (within 1.5 months), Sarfaraz had already dropped 10 kg, with his total weight loss reaching 17 kg soon after.

On the field, Sarfaraz has continued to perform, delivering a powerful century during the India A tour of England, ahead of the Anderson–Tendulkar Trophy. His physical and skillful resurgence coincides with calls for selectors to revisit his case. Former England batsman Kevin Pietersen notably urged Prithvi Shaw and others to take note of Sarfaraz’s transformation.
