MBA Students Favor India Over U.S.? Debate Grows

A recent LinkedIn post claims more Indian students are now picking Indian MBA programs instead of U.S. schools. The author suggests strict U.S. visa rules and high costs have shifted preference toward local institutes.

The post argues that India’s top business schools, like IIMs, offer solid training, strong alumni support, and lower fees. Meanwhile, going abroad comes with hurdles like visa delays and limited job approval. However, many experts highlight the benefits of studying in the U.S, access to global exposure, top-quality research, and STEM-linked work permits, especially for those seeking international careers. Some point out that Indian MBA programs offer excellent domestic placement and lower costs which is a smart choice if building a career at home is the main goal.

In summary, whether to study in India or abroad depends on what you want: global exposure and possible U.S. job chances, or affordable, strong education in India. It’s not just about cost, but what fits your career goal best.
