Amid rising communal tensions and political backlash over Operation Sindoor, the BJP Minority Cell has launched an active campaign to publicise and explain the initiative among Muslim communities, blending outreach programs with digital amplification. The strategy includes:
-
Grassroots events in Muslim-majority towns - including community dialogues, sweets distribution, and public rallies - designed to frame Operation Sindoor as a heroic act unified against terrorism, not targeted at any faith. Events echo those in Prayagraj, Aligarh, and Sambhal, where Muslim groups have publicly celebrated the operation .
-
A social media campaign led by BJP’s Minority Morcha and IT Cell, with regional coordinators mobilizing online content that highlights solidarity and military success .
-
Targeted NRI engagement and diaspora-focused outreach, through which overseas BJP cells are showcasing the operation as a national anti-terror milestone .
The BJP’s framing emphasizes that Operation Sindoor is a national security action, not a communal attack - aiming to counter opposition criticism and communal distortions. Critics, including Congress and regional parties, have labeled this effort as politicising an anti-terror operation and called for parliamentary debate .
With rising public outreach efforts ahead of state elections, BJP hopes the narrative will foster minority support and build an inclusive front in defence of national security.
