All you need to know about taking Supplements...

Supplements have come a long way—from ancient herbal remedies to trendy gummies and capsules in today’s wellness aisles. What began centuries ago with traditional plants like ginseng and turmeric has transformed into a massive global industry promising better health, glowing skin, and boosted energy. But how did they become a daily ritual for so many?

The rise of supplements in the 20th century followed major scientific discoveries, including the identification of vitamins like B12, C, and D. The idea of preventing deficiencies with pills gained traction, especially during wartime and economic stress. However, it was the late 1990s and early 2000s, with relaxed regulations and a boom in celebrity culture, that truly catapulted supplements into pop health.

Today, influencers, brands, and even doctors promote a daily lineup of powders and pills, often marketed with buzzwords like “clean,” “natural,” or “immune-boosting.” While many supplements can support health when used correctly, experts warn they’re not a substitute for a balanced diet. Still, the psychology of “just in case” wellness keeps the ritual going strong.
