Thousands of candidates and teachers across India have launched protests after the SSC Selection Post Phase 13 exams, held from July 24 to August 1, 2025, were repeatedly canceled or disrupted. The hashtag #SSCMisManagement has been trending on social media as aspirants call out what they describe as systemic mismanagement by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) .
Major grievances include last‑minute exam cancellations without prior notice - even after aspirants had traveled long distances—alongside severe technical issues like server crashes, frozen systems, and malfunctioning hardware . Many were assigned centers far from home, intensifying cost burdens and emotional stress . Disturbing reports also surfaced of candidates being mistreated by invigilators or security staff when raising concerns .
A key flashpoint is the outsourced exam vendor, Eduquity Career Technologies, which students claim was previously blacklisted and lacked reliable capacity to handle such large-scale exams . Protesters - including prominent educators like “Neetu ma’am”—organized a mass “Delhi Chalo” march to Jantar Mantar and the DoPT complex on July 31, facing police resistance amid demands for redress .
Students’ demands include:
-
Cancel the contract with the current vendor and conduct exams internally,
-
Provide rescheduled test dates or compensation,
-
Conduct a transparent inquiry into failures,
-
Ensure fair, glitch-free future examinations.
