Why Sawan 2025 is spiritually powerful - Don't miss these rituals!

The holy month of Sawan (Shravan), dedicated to Lord Shiva, begins July 11 in North India under the Purnimanta calendar and concludes August 9, while in the Amanta calendar followed in South and West India it runs from July 25 to August 23. Recognized as the most sacred period for Shiva devotees, Sawan observes special practices like Sawan Somwar fasts (Mondays), Jalabhishek rituals, and chanting of hymns including Shiva Chalisa and 108 names .

Key dates include four Somwar vrat days - July 14, 21, 28, and August 4 in the North, and July 28, August 4, 11, and 18 in the South . Sawan Shivratri falls on July 23, featuring midnight puja and abhishek .

Vastu experts recommend deep cleaning homes and removing clutter before Sawan begins to invite positive energy and spiritual alignment .

During Sawan, pilgrims embark on the Kanwar Yatra from July 11–23, carrying Ganga water to Lord Shiva temples - an expression of devotion and cultural tradition.

This Sawan, immerse yourself in faith, fasting, and mindful preparation to welcome prosperity and blessings.
