Spotify has launched a major update for Android Auto users, introducing the highly awaited Jam feature. With this update, drivers can now host group listening sessions in their cars. Once activated, passengers can scan a QR code shown on the car’s screen to join the session and add songs to the playlist in real time, while the driver retains control over playback.

This feature is perfect for road trips, carpooling, or family drives, making music sharing more fun and collaborative. The update also includes offline music improvements. A new Downloaded tab makes it easier to access offline songs, especially useful in low-network areas. Songs already downloaded are now clearly marked.

Spotify has also added a floating search button, allowing users to browse songs manually instead of only relying on Google Assistant. The user interface has been redesigned for easier navigation and less distraction while driving.

With this update, Spotify is not just a music app anymore-it becomes your go-to in-car entertainment system, built for safer, smarter, and more social driving.
