Rahul Gandhi launches mass campaign for voter rights!

Rahul Gandhi inaugurated the Voter Adhikar Yatra in Sasaram, Bihar, denouncing the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls as a frontal assault on democracy and the Constitution. “This is a fight to save the Constitution,” he declared, accusing the BJP and RSS of trying to “wipe out” foundational democratic rights.

Surrounded by INDIA bloc allies—RJD, CPI(M), CPI, CPI(ML)-Liberation, VIP—Gandhi positioned the yatra as a public resistance against “vote chori” (vote theft) and electoral manipulation. The event transformed into a powerful show of collective opposition strength.

In a searing moment of satire, Gandhi quipped perhaps sarcastically whether he had “drunk tea with dead people,” spotlighting discrepancies in the voter list and calling for accountability from the Election Commission.

In response, the Chief Election Commissioner issued an ultimatum: show evidence under affidavit or apologize warning that baseless claims would be invalidated.
