PM Modi afraid to call Trump a liar over Ceasefire claim, says Rahul Gandhi!

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi launched a sharp attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, questioning his continued silence over former U.S. President Donald Trump's controversial claim that he mediated a ceasefire between India and Pakistan.

Gandhi said, “If PM Modi says Trump is lying, then Trump will speak openly and lay bare the truth. That’s why Modi is not able to say anything.” He added that the Prime Minister lacked the courage to publicly contradict Trump, unlike former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, who, according to him, would have boldly rejected any such claim.

Trump had earlier claimed that his administration played a crucial role in reducing India-Pakistan tensions, particularly after the Balakot airstrike in 2019. His statement reignited debates over India's long-standing policy that all bilateral issues with Pakistan must be resolved without third-party mediation.

Rahul Gandhi's remarks were made during an interaction in Jaipur, further escalating political discourse around India’s foreign policy transparency and the Modi government’s handling of international narratives.
