A sweeping reassessment across top entertainment outlets—including Far Out, ComicBook.com, Rotten Tomatoes and Tom’s Guide—ranks all seven films in the Jurassic Park/World franchise from worst to best. The consensus is clear: Spielberg’s 1993 Jurassic Park remains an unsurpassed classic, topping every list for its masterful blend of suspense, groundbreaking effects and enduring characters.
At the other end, Jurassic World Dominion (2022) consistently lands in last place. Critics bemoan its overstuffed plot, sidelined dinosaurs, and bizarre subplot involving genetically engineered locusts.
Mid-tier entries include Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and Jurassic Park III, both praised for thrilling set pieces and gritty action, though criticized for lacking depth and character chemistry.
The Lost World (1997) is credited for its messy intensity and Spielberg at the helm, securing a respectable upper‑middle ranking .
The latest installment, Jurassic World Rebirth (2025), receives mixed reviews. While reviewers applaud its return to dinosaur‑centric thrills and Spielberg‑style callbacks, many note its overly formulaic plot and shallow character work.
Across the board, fans and critics reaffirm one truth: nothing outdoes the original’s spellbinding blend of wonder, science and storytelling.
