Following U.S. airstrikes on Iran’s key nuclear facilities - Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan - tensions in the Middle East have sharply escalated.

During an emergency UN Security Council session, Iran’s UN Ambassador Amir Saeid Iravani accused the United States of "destroying diplomacy" and warned that Iran's military will determine the "timing, nature, and scale" of its response.

Iravani condemned the strikes as blatant violations of international law, blaming both the U.S. and its Israeli ally for provoking further conflict.

He sharply criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for manipulating U.S. President Donald Trump into attacking Iran, calling it part of the West's "dirty work."

Iravani emphasized that Iran has always remained open to diplomacy, rejecting accusations of abandoning negotiations.

However, with rising tensions and military threats on both sides, the region faces the serious risk of a dangerous escalation if diplomatic efforts fail to take hold.
