As the Israel–Iran conflict entered its fifth day, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard announced this morning that it had struck a Mossad intelligence center and an army intelligence (Aman) facility in Tel Aviv, saying both sites were “on fire”. The announcement followed reports earlier in the day of Iranian missile and drone launches toward Israeli territory.
This escalation is part of a broader tit-for-tat conflict. In response to Israeli airstrikes that killed senior Iranian military figures—including IRGC commander Hossein Salami and Deputy Chief Mohammad Bagheri—Iran retaliated with dozens of ballistic missiles and UAVs targeting Israeli military and intelligence installations. However, Israel’s advanced air-defense systems intercepted the majority of inbound projectiles, preventing large-scale damage .
The strikes have intensified civilian protection efforts in both nations. In Israel, sirens forced residents to seek shelter in places like Tel Aviv and Herzliya, while Iran reported casualties numbering in the hundreds across multiple cities.
