Tomatoes are rich in lycopene, vitamins A and C, and organic acids that brighten, tighten pores, and combat sun damage, making them perfect for homemade skincare masks.
1. Brightening Tomato + Honey Mask
Blend one ripe tomato with a tablespoon of honey (and optionally curd). Apply for 15 minutes before rinsing. This mix helps lighten spots, boosts collagen, and provides a natural glow.
2. Cooling Tomato + Milk Overnight Mask
Mash one tomato and mix with two tablespoons of raw milk. Leave on overnight for soothing hydration—great for acne-prone or sunburned skin.
3. Tomato + Curd and Lemon Peel-Off
Puree tomato, strain for juice, mix with a touch of gelatin (or curd) and lemon juice to create a peel-off mask. It helps exfoliate gently, control oil, and brighten the complexion.
4. Tomato + Cucumber Cooling Mask
Combine tomato pulp with cucumber puree. Apply for 15 minutes to firm pores and soothe inflammation—ideal after sun exposure.
5. Tomato + Papaya for Combination Skin
Blend tomato pulp with papaya cubes for a paste. This antioxidant-rich mask helps fight pigmentation, hydrate, and revitalize mixed skin types.
Dermatologists suggest using these masks 2‑3 times a week, with patch tests advised, for a visible glow and fresher complexion.
