DocPharma, a healthcare infrastructure startup founded in early 2023 by Shashank Rai and Saquib Ali (joined later by Sagar Chauhan), is reshaping medicine delivery across India. It acts as the invisible backend for e‑pharmacies, health platforms, insurers and hospitals—enabling prescription fulfillment in just 30 to 60 minutes, especially in metropolitan cities like Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru.
By integrating with partner platforms via APIs, DocPharma’s rule engine tracks live inventory across micro‑fulfillment hubs and partner pharmacies, dispatching nearest riders instantly. This B2B2C model removes delays common in centralized warehousing systems, delivering medicines faster than groceries or meals.
Since its launch, the startup has scaled to over a dozen cities and handles more than 100,000 SKUs with over 80 % of orders delivered under an hour and very low bounce rates while protecting partner customer ownership and privacy.
DocPharma has driven cashless medicine claim conversions from just 4% to over 8.9%, helping insurers reduce reimbursement costs by nearly 8% and boosting platform user retention.
Built during India’s COVID‑19 lockdown, the venture began by serving a housing society via WhatsApp deliveries—and has since grown into a seed‑funded startup valued at ₹18.4 crore, powering healthcare logistics infrastructure with quiet efficiency.
