DU cut-0ff 2025: Zoology surges to Top 3 as Hindu College sets record highs!

Delhi University’s 2025 cut-off list has revealed a surprising trend - BSc (Hons.) Zoology has emerged as the third most sought-after undergraduate course, overtaking traditional favourites like English. As per official data, Zoology received over 12,700 first-preference applications, following closely behind B.Com (Hons.) and Political Science (Hons.).

Hindu College, one of DU’s most prestigious institutions, saw some of the highest cut-offs this year. For instance, BA (Hons.) History and B.Com (Hons.) crossed the 900 mark, with Political Science (Hons.) touching 950+. Even for Zoology, the cut-off went as high as 678.44 CUET score (out of 750).

This spike in preference for Zoology highlights a shift among students towards research-oriented and life sciences careers. Experts believe it reflects growing interest in fields like wildlife biology, environmental science, and public health.

With Round 2 of DU admissions scheduled for July 28, competition is only expected to intensify. Aspiring students are advised to act fast, especially for top colleges like Hindu, SRCC, and Miranda House.
