Delhi-Gurugram Expressway to see major traffic drop with new road!

A major traffic breakthrough is coming for Delhi-Gurugram commuters. A new six-lane road built above the Dwarka Expressway tunnel-from Yashobhoomi to Mahipalpur-is set to become fully operational in August 2025. The final connection to the Delhi-Gurugram Expressway at Mahipalpur is all that remains, and once completed, the route will be 100% functional.

This new road is expected to handle over 1.5 lakh vehicles daily, significantly reducing traffic on the existing expressway. Already, over 1 lakh vehicles use the tunnel route from Yashobhoomi to the airport, with traffic expected to shift further once the new link is opened.

With this development, vehicles can directly travel from Dwarka Expressway to the airport and Gurugram. For commuters heading towards Dhaula Kuan, the new connection to Mahipalpur will provide smooth access.

Experts believe that an additional tunnel from Mahipalpur to the airport (from the Gurugram side) could further reduce congestion from Sirhaul border.

This development promises faster commutes, less fuel consumption, and a better driving experience for lakhs of daily travellers.
