Himachal Pradesh witnessed widespread destruction as cloudbursts and flash floods hit Kangra, Kullu, and other districts, leaving several dead and many missing. Heavy rainfall triggered the disasters on Tuesday night, causing chaos in multiple areas.

In Kangra district, a cloudburst in Bharmar area led to flash floods, sweeping away houses and livestock. Several people are feared missing, and rescue operations are underway. Similarly, parts of Kullu district were battered by flash floods after cloudbursts in Malana and Manikaran valleys. Roads, bridges, and homes have been damaged, with several villages cut off due to debris and overflowing streams.

Authorities have launched intensive search and rescue operations, with police, disaster management teams, and local volunteers working tirelessly to trace the missing and evacuate stranded residents. The exact death toll is yet to be confirmed, but reports indicate several casualties across affected regions.

Meanwhile, the state government has urged people to avoid travelling to hilly areas as weather conditions remain unpredictable. With incessant rainfall continuing, officials have issued alerts in vulnerable zones and appealed for public cooperation.

Himachal Pradesh has been witnessing frequent weather-related disasters this monsoon season, raising concerns over preparedness and long-term climate impacts.
