Who pressured India to Ceasefire? Akhilesh demands answers in Lok Sabha!

During Day 7 of the Monsoon Session on July 29, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav delivered a blistering critique of the central government’s handling of Operation Sindoor, labelling it a symbol of intelligence failure. He demanded accountability, asking, “Who will take responsibility for the intelligence lapse that allowed the Pahalgam terror attack?”

Yadav further questioned the sudden ceasefire with Pakistan, probing “Under whose pressure was the ceasefire done?"—and suggesting it was brokered through foreign influence rather than sovereign decision-making.

He also criticized India’s isolation during Operation Sindoor, noting that no country publicly supported the mission, calling it a failure of foreign diplomacy. Drawing parallels to the Rafale procurement controversy, Yadav questioned whether India’s military might was underplayed by political maneuvering and mock-decorative welcome rituals like lemons and chillies for jets.

His criticism extended to China, which he described as a growing strategic threat that could “gobble up our land and market,” underscoring what he sees as the government’s broader foreign policy collapse.
