Citigroup's India head of commercial banking, Bhanu Vohra, has resigned after nearly 25 years with the bank, according to sources familiar with the matter. The veteran banker, who most recently led a team providing global banking solutions to Indian mid-sized companies, is currently on gardening leave and exploring other career opportunities.
Vohra, a managing director who joined Citi in 2000, worked across various roles including operations, transaction banking, and global markets. A Citigroup spokesperson confirmed his resignation and said the bank will soon announce his successor.
The departure comes amid broader leadership reshuffles at Citi India this year, with K Balasubramanian becoming CEO of India and Ashu Khullar co-leading the global asset-managers team from London.
