The hidden danger inside your lipstick no one talks about!

Lipsticks are more than just beauty essentials-they might be messing with your health. Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Manan Vora recently warned that certain chemicals in lipsticks can actually delay your periods. The main culprits? BPA (Bisphenol A) and parabens like Methyl Paraben and Propyl Paraben. These ingredients mimic estrogen and disrupt your hormonal balance.

He advises women to always check the packaging and choose products labeled “Paraben Free” or “BPA Free.” Certifications like Ecocert, Cosmos Organic, USDA Organic, and PETA Cruelty Free can be trusted.

Dermatologist Dr. Rinky Kapoor adds that while most regulated lipsticks are safe, cheap or unregulated brands may even contain heavy metals like lead or cadmium, which are dangerous in the long run. To keep your lips safe, experts recommend using a hydrating balm, exfoliating gently, removing lipstick before bed, and opting for SPF-infused products.

Before buying your next lipstick, flip it over and read the label—because your favorite shade shouldn’t cost you your health.
