Siraj breaks into Top 15 of ICC Test Bowlers after the Oval Magic!

Mohammed Siraj climbed an impressive 12 places to reach a career‑best 15th spot in the ICC Men’s Test Bowling Rankings, following India’s dramatic six‑run victory over England at The Oval. Siraj was named Player of the Match after his nine-wicket haul, including a crucial five‑for in the second innings, which sealed a thrilling 2–2 series draw.

This marks the best ranking of Siraj’s career—he had previously peaked at 16th in January 2024. He now joins compatriot Jasprit Bumrah, one of only two Indians to be in the Test top‑15. Siraj finished with 674 rating points, reflecting his key role throughout the series.

His bowling partner Prasidh Krishna also rose to a career‑best 59th, after claiming eight wickets in the series-decider. Together, they became only the second Indian pace duo ever to take four or more wickets in each innings of a Test match—a record previously held by Bishan Singh Bedi and Erapalli Prasanna since 1969.

Meanwhile, India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal regained his top‑5 spot in the batting rankings (792 points), while Rishabh Pant stayed at number 8 despite missing the final Test due to injury.
