Congress leader Salman Khurshid, part of India’s anti-terror all-party delegation, has urged political factions at home to prioritize patriotism over party politics. Speaking from Malaysia after visiting Indonesia, South Korea, Japan and Singapore, Khurshid expressed concern that some are questioning his association with a BJP-led delegation.
Taking to social media, he wrote, “Is it so difficult to be patriotic?” adding that the mission is India first, India only. Amid criticism from some within Congress, including MP Jairam Ramesh, Khurshid clarified that his participation is not about endorsing the government but amplifying India’s voice globally in the wake of Operation Sindoor and the Pahalgam attack.
In Jakarta, he also remarked that Article 370 had alienated Kashmir, a comment the BJP welcomed. Despite internal party friction, Khurshid stood firm, calling for national unity in the face of terrorism.
