Fifteen workers were trapped Wednesday evening following an industrial tunnel collapse in Los Angeles' Wilmington area, according to the city's fire department. The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) reported no confirmed injuries from the incident.

The collapse occurred approximately six miles south of the tunnel's only access point, complicating rescue efforts. More than 100 emergency responders have been deployed to the scene to assist with the rescue operation.

"The City of Los Angeles has mobilized resources to the tunnel collapse in Wilmington," Mayor Karen Bass announced on social media. Emergency crews are working to reach the trapped workers and assess the situation.
