In a heartbreaking incident that has stirred emotional reactions across Navi Mumbai, a newborn baby girl was found abandoned in a blue basket with a handwritten ‘Sorry’ note beside her. The infant was discovered by a local resident early Saturday morning at Takka Colony in Panvel, lying by the roadside.

Upon being alerted, police and emergency services rushed to the spot and immediately took the baby to a nearby hospital, where she is reported to be safe and stable. Authorities are currently examining CCTV footage and speaking to locals to identify the person who left the child.

The note, simply reading "Sorry," has left investigators and citizens disturbed - raising questions about the circumstances that led to the abandonment. Child welfare officials have been informed and will take custody of the infant as per protocol.

This incident has reignited conversations around infant abandonment, mental health, and the urgent need for safe surrender mechanisms and social support for struggling parents.
