Kajol’s Maa to Stream Soon on Netflix

Kajol returns to the screen with Maa, a mythological horror thriller that hit theatres on June 27. In the film, she plays Ambika, a fearless mother who takes her daughter on a road trip that spirals into horror when they encounter a cursed village haunted by an ancient demonic force.

Directed by Vishal Furia and produced by Ajay Devgn, the film is part of the Shaitaan cinematic universe. It combines eerie folklore with emotional storytelling, offering both scares and heart. Ronit Roy and Indraneil Sengupta join the cast, adding depth to the intense narrative.

Maa runs for a little over two hours and is rated UA 16+, making it suitable for older teens and adults. With its theatrical release now underway, fans who prefer streaming won’t have to wait too long - Maa is set to arrive on Netflix soon. While an exact date hasn’t been announced, it’s expected to drop on the platform about 8 weeks after its theatrical run.

This marks another strong entry into India’s evolving horror genre, blending mythology with modern storytelling.
