Guava vs Avocado: Which fruit is really better for your health?

Fruits are nature’s power-packed foods, and guava and avocado are two stars on the list. Guava is rich in vitamin C (228 mg/100 gms), low in calories (68), high in fiber (5.4 g), and great for boosting immunity, regulating blood pressure, and aiding weight loss. Its antioxidant-rich profile helps fight inflammation, while potassium helps the heart.

Avocado, on the other hand, is calorie-dense (160/100 gms) but full of healthy fats (15 g) and fiber (6.7 g), making it a heart-healthy, satiating option. Packed with vitamin E, folate, and lutein, it promotes skin glow, brain function, and eye health. Research shows avocado even supports better gut health in overweight individuals.

How to consume? Guava is best eaten raw with salt or in smoothies, chaat, chutney, or juice. Avocado shines when mashed on toast, added to salads, or turned into guacamole.

Which is better? It depends on your health goals. For weight loss and immunity, pick guava. For heart health and healthy fats, go with avocado.
