China’s Foreign Ministry has sharply criticized former President Trump, accusing him of “pouring oil” on the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran. The rebuke followed Trump's warning for Tehran residents to evacuate amid intensifying missile and drone exchanges—now entering the fifth consecutive day.
Spokesperson Guo Jiakun condemned Trump’s move as "fanning the flames…making threats and mounting pressure," asserting such rhetoric "will only intensify and widen the conflict," rather than promote de‑escalation . Beijing has already issued advisory notices urging its citizens to leave both Israel and Iran for safety .
As the air war escalates - with Israeli strikes targeting Iranian military and nuclear facilities, and Iran retaliating with missiles toward Tel Aviv - the global community watches nervously. Trump, who abruptly left the G7 summit to manage the crisis, insisted his intent was to force Iran back into nuclear negotiations - not merely seek ceasefire .
With oil prices volatile and evacuation orders mounting, Beijing is calling for restraint, warning the region could spiral into broader instability if the rhetoric and exchanges continue unchecked.
