Can't handle Non-veg? You might be single forever!

Is your food preference a deal-breaker in love? In India, it just might be. A new survey reveals that food choices - especially the veg vs. non-veg divide - play a significant role in modern relationships. Conducted by the dating app QuackQuack, the survey involved responses from over 15,000 urban singles aged 20–32 across metro cities.

Shockingly, 38% of vegetarians admitted they would not date a non-vegetarian, citing lifestyle mismatch and discomfort. Non-vegetarians, however, appeared more flexible, with 70% saying food isn’t a major concern - but they'd still prefer someone who can handle spicy dishes or share a mutton biryani.

The most interesting revelation? Popular Indian dishes like biryani, butter chicken, and momos were ranked as either bonding meals - or breakup triggers. One participant even shared that a three-year relationship ended after a heated debate over ordering chicken biryani.

The report reflects a growing trend: food isn’t just sustenance - it’s a cultural and emotional compass in Indian dating. Whether it's for compatibility, identity, or comfort, what's on your plate may just decide who’s holding your hand.
