BREAKING: Rajya Sabha to hold 16-Hour debate on Op Sindoor, PM to participate!

The Rajya Sabha is set to hold a special debate on Operation Sindoor on Tuesday, July 29, with the Business Advisory Committee allocating a full 16 hours to discuss the recent military operation following the Pahalgam terror attack . This debate in the Upper House will be part of a coordinated parliamentary discussion, with the Lok Sabha expected to follow soon after .

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, is expected to address Parliament during the session . The debate comes amid growing pressure from the Opposition, triggered by U.S. President Trump’s repeated claim of brokering a ceasefire in the India‑Pakistan standoff, a claim that has gone unanswered by PM Modi, drawing sharp criticism .

Opposition parties have demanded that the PM personally attend and clarify India’s position, emphasizing transparency on military actions and diplomatic narratives surrounding Operation Sindoor.

As the Monsoon Session progresses, Parliament will scrutinize both the strategic impact and political messaging of military operations, marking a pivotal moment in India’s ongoing defence discourse.
