When Delhi’s pollution made his father ill, lawyer-turned-entrepreneur Aayush Jha decided to fix the air crisis himself. In 2018, he founded Clairco (Clean Air Company) - a Bengaluru-based startup that transforms air conditioners into smart air purifiers using low-drag nano filters and IoT technology.
Clairco’s innovation retrofits existing ACs with special filters that trap pollutants without affecting cooling performance. The system is connected to real-time air quality monitors, alerting users when filters need replacement. What makes it revolutionary? It’s 100 times cheaper - while traditional systems cost nearly ₹2 crore for a 3 lakh sq. ft. space, Clairco achieves the same for just ₹3 lakh.
From malls to offices in Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, Clairco now delivers clean indoor air to over 15 lakh people daily. Despite pandemic setbacks, the startup has grown rapidly, doubling business every quarter.
Aayush’s goal is clear - to ensure no one suffers because of polluted air. His mission is not just innovation but access to clean air for all.
